Christ has given to us, by the power of the Holy Spirit and the grace offered in the sacraments, the responsibility to participate in His life, here and now. He has called us to affect the world and to benefit it through living as examples of His life, a life of taking responsibility for the well-being of others, through humble sacrificial love. The commands of Christ are the foundations of our Holy Apostles Orthodox Christian parish and community, in which we invite and welcome you. The Orthodox Church is the original Christian Church, the Church founded by the Lord Jesus Christ and described in the pages of the New Testament. Her history can be traced in unbroken continuity all the way back to Christ and His twelve apostles. For over twenty centuries, she has continued in her undiminished and unaltered faith and practice. You, as a visitor, are a key part of our mission. Namely, offering Christ’s love to all, especially offering hospitality to strangers as we are exhorted to do through the examples of Abraham and his kindness towards his visitors (Genesis 18:1-5) and Christ’s parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37).
